One thing I haven’t heard them address yet: They keep talking about sheltering old people and those with compromised immune systems or illnesses. But what about those in this group who are still working or need to — even if they are on social security. What if they were still working trying to recover from the 2008 nightmare?
Do they plan to give them extra financial help if they are over 65 and were still working? For instance, my husband would probably like to go back to work, but he is 68 and has a heart condition.
So even if they open up the economy, there may be a lot of folks in this category. We needed four more years of work.
Of course, if there are good therapeutics it might not be as crucial, but so far, that is not the case.
Just some thoughts tonight.
