Carnivore Dreams – Doggie star

'Darling Companion' From Lawrence and Meg Kasdan - NYTimes.com

I think they made my dog a movie star. I guess they had two dogs in this movie with Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline written by Lawrence Kasdan! Called Darling Companion. And directed by his sons. Didn’t get good reviews and I think the writing needed something, some more dramatic moments, but the one dog really looks like my dog. They say one is Collie mix (probably English shepherd, they say in UK — collie farm dog), and one was an Aussie mix, also in the collie family.

I watched it last night and enjoyed seeing my dog running around. Facial expression and behavior are almost dead on.

  1. You can get it for sure on Amazon Prime (luckily I already owned it or it might have been free on there), so I didn’t have to give them any money. Not sure about Netflix. It needed some work on plotting and character, but still worth a look. 🙂 and you’ll see just what my dog looks like (one more than the other.)

  2. I didn’t know this movie but am glad it starred your dog. Clearly, the best part of the film. I’d like to see it. I’m not a Prime member, but I’m sure I can find it. I trust that stardom has not gone to your dog’s head.
